Jolina Beuren was born in Saarbrücken in 1998 and began playing the mandolin at the age of six. A former junior student at the Saar University of Music, she initially studied guitar at the Cologne University of Music with Prof. Roberto Aussel and Prof. Hans-Werner Huppertz, and earned her Bachelor's degree in mandolin under Annika Hinsche. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in mandolin in Wuppertal in the class of Annika Hinsche and Prof. Caterina Lichtenberg. Jolina Beuren has won several first prizes at the national "Jugend Musiziert" competition, second prize at the Barmenia "Guitar + X" competition, and first prize at the 2024 Yasuo Kuwahara International Competition for Solo Mandolin. She has received multiple scholarships from the Saarland National Academic Foundation and the German Foundation for Musical Life. Jolina Beuren currently performs in a variety of chamber music ensembles as well as with national and international orchestras.
