Chordofonia is an international top-class ensemble that wants to share its passion for plucked string music. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia, the ensemble sees itself as part of a centuries-old tradition whose diverse forms range from the Renaissance to the present day.

Chordofonia has already performed at the Euregio Music Festival, the Gütersloh Theater, the Cityring Concerts in Dortmund, the Wuppertal Historic City Hall, and the French Festival International de Mandoline de Castellar.

The delicate and unexpected sonic possibilities of these young musicians make it possible to showcase a broad musical spectrum in innovative concerts. Whether through high-quality original compositions or novel arrangements, Chordofonia presents plucked string music with captivating musicality and technical perfection.

The versatility of the instrumentalists, combined with the diversity of the instruments, allows the ensemble to develop exciting program formats that incorporate "classical" pieces alongside intercultural elements, family concerts, and works of "new music" written specifically for the ensemble. Chordofonia comprises internationally acclaimed musicians who, in addition to passion and experience, boast numerous awards and competition successes.
